BDPA has encouraged me to plan for my future. It has introduced me to the professional world and is preparing me for its expectations. It has provided me with mentorship and guidance while teaching me the fundamental skills necessary to compete on a national level. Throughout my time with the DC chapter, I have excelled to become a coder, a scholar, a leader. All that was asked of me in return was to put in the effort and show up to class, on time, every Saturday morning (which was no easy feat). I am extremely grateful for the opportunities that have been provided to me thanks to this organization. I have been at BDPA since the eighth grade and I can truly say that I have grown in multiple areas of my life thanks to this program. This program has taught me how to present/speak to an audience better, has increased my self-confidence, helped me learn to work and collaborate in teams, as well as business skills like networking and resume building. If you want to understand how your education can be applied to real-life situations, BDPA has teachers who are skilled in the fields they’re in to help you understand how to apply your skills in that field.
