About our Game Design Course

The gaming industry is constantly growing and changing as computers and technology continue to advance. Until computers can program themselves, there will always be more room for programmers in the IT field. Our class is here to teach programming through the development of video games as they are not very different from the applications we use on our computers and phones every day.

To teach video game development we are currently using Construct 3, a free software developed by Scirra capable of creating games for PC, websites, mobile and game consoles such as the Nintendo Switch. There are already plenty of titles out there generating revenue right now made from Construct, so there is no reason that revenue can’t be yours!

The goal of the class is to utilize our students interest in video games to develop their programming, problem solving, creativity and teamwork skills. All of these things are required to make a good game, it takes more work than just playing a game, but just as fun and even more rewarding. This reward can come in the form of watching others enjoy your game, or earning an income for it, but why not enjoy both?
